Boost Gauge Project

Hey Guys.

I recently got a glow shift boost gauge from my friend along with the pod itself. The pod mounts on the dash i used velcro so I didnt have to glue it down or anything. The pod sat a lil too hight for my liking so I cut 1/2 inch of the bracket and drilled new holes so it sits as pictured below. Only down side here is that I have to drill a lil tiny hole in my dash, just big enough to get the vac line and 4 wires in. Iwas thinking of using a gromit to make it look clean. And if someone came out with something better later I will just plug the hole in the dash with on of those lil plastic pop clips. Anyways my question to you is do you like where its mounted? right or left? keep you guys posted on install.

Id use the pod system that CP-E is wokring on. It replaces the plastic above the spedo and tach for an OEM fit. It has three pods. Im going to put in boost, afr and oil or tran temp.

Things velcro'd on the dash just doesnt do it justice.

OT, but ya gotta get that detector mounted higher up, my friend.

You can use a telephone cable and inline phone cord connector to lengthen the power adapter...mount it right under your mirror, run the wire across the headliner, down the a-pillar and across the bottom of the dash.

Higher mount = better detection.

True, well see about that later. I am also thinking of runing the lines threw the air duct so I don't have to drill a hole in the dash at all.
