Well, best for what specifically. There are always trade offs. Stickiness for longevity, etc. See my post (#12) for others.

I would look into the MXs, Hanook RS2s, and Z1's (Grip from less to more). All have good tread for rain and are good tires. I ran the Z1s as my race tire all last season.

If you want a tire with a little more tread longevity, take a look at the BFG KDW-2 or Continental ContiSportContact 2.

The RA has a stock strut tower brace up front, which leaves me wondering why Mitsu didn't put one on the back, or at least make it an option.

So you can have a 60/40 folding rear seat, unlike the EVO that has a rear brace but no 60/40

I mentioned this the other day but Edmunds got 3 more freaking miles in the slalom with some used Potenzas RE050A which took the RA a tad away from the 70mph mark, If I'm not mistaken, that's M3 slalom speed...

These were worn out RE050A too boot. Would have done even better had the tires been new.

I think the RA handles pretty good on the streets as is. Very comparable to my E36 M3. On the track the M3 would eat it up, but really how often do you do that vs having a little bit of fun on the streets?

If people wanted all out track performance they should have bought an EVO X and saved themselves time and money. The RA is designed for everyday life. Personally the raods suck where I live and the RA is pleanty stiff for my tastes. I don't think I could drive an EVO everyday as I have heard the ride is harsh, the MPG are lower and a 60/40 folding rear seat comes in handy.

I like performance as much as the next guy, but a usable car is nice too. I will likely sell my M3 now as the RA is pretty good over all and I can drive it in the winter.

Not necessarily, worn tires can actually perform better than brand new tires because of a reduced tread depth, this is why racers have their tires shaved.
Anyways, if you want a tire that is plenty sticky for the street but can handle a few track days, consider the Falken FK-452s. I ran those last year and they survived a half dozen or more track days without looking like they were about to die. They're also cheap which is a plus.

Wow. I have a 98 M3, and i love my RA, but i find it handles nowhere near as well. The M3 is so balanced and steering is so much tighter. What color you got. 5speed?

What would be a good set of coilovers, sway bars and strut bars for Rally Cross for RA?

I plan to do alot of fun stuff at the track with the RA but its my daily driver also?

I have Kelly Fierce UHP tires, they seem to be good, no issues with them so far, and last week went to Banff, and it was snowing like a *****, but i managed to stay on the roads, and not write off another car haha

How can you improve the steering for better handling?

If you're serious about rallycross, you need a very different setup than someone who autocrosses or tracks.

Well from the BMW e36 M3 world, a common mod was swapping the steering rack from a Z3 into the M3. This had a quicker ratio.

I would imagine it would be possible to swap an Evo rack. But not positive as im new to these cars.

If he is serious about rallycross he would run at least one year with the car stock, lets be honest here!

With rallicross the first mods you want to do are skid plates and brake pads.

Oh and have money set aside in case you need any new tires
