Track or strip?

 

sorry guess i shouldve specified. going to the drag strip. as long as it doesnt rain today they are calling 67% chance of rain

 

well everyone i went to the strip today, no rain but 60% humidity i only got in 4 runs cuz it was busy and i had to be home to watch the celtics beat the bulls lol. well the first 3 runs were a disapointing 14.8 with a 2.4 60ft i was launching at 2k on my 4th run i was a little pissed lol and launched at about 2700k and got a 14.5 with a 2.2 60ft so a little better. my first time at the track with this car, im hoping with some practice i get a 2.0x 60ft and a 14.3 or so. but that track was having issues so i wasnt to upset with my time. i ran a vette that ran a 13.2 a sti 14.0 and a mazdaspeed 3 14.4 so i have a feeling the humidity played a factor. ill go out soon again when theres no clouds(rain in socal? wtf?) lol

 

shouldn't be disappointed, those are around stock numbers.

 

sounds like you ran into some bad drivers (especially that STi)

 

youre telling me there was a porche gt2 lining up in front of me, i was on the side of the burnout box and when his light turned green he put it in reverse and floored it! i was like aaaahhhh!!!!! he stopped about 10 ft away from me i wish i had my video camera for that. but yes everyone seemes to be running less than normal times it was wierd im thinking humidity played a factor?

 

Could have, It rained on an off all day Friday, Got 4 runs in before the down pour then another four after they dried the track, so it was kind of Humid here as well. but dropped into the 60's which I think helped in the long run.
Those are not bad numbers at all, I took mine to the Strip on Friday, 8 runs in the 14.5 to 14.1 range. no mods except boost gauge otherwise bone stock, had some ****ty R/T's from .3 to 1.0, best 60ft time was 1.9 on one run the rest were in the 2's, launching varied between 2K to 2800. ran against an R32 Skyline (1 win 1 loss, first time driving the car, I've seen it run 12's), SRT-4 (he was irritated when I beat him) , Mustang Cobra (Spanked the Cobra, he was pissed ), Pontiac G8 GXP (barely beat me at the top of the track) and a Diesel Truck who just sat on the line and Blacksmoked the crowd.

What year cobra did you "spank"

 

1994 ish, it was the body style right after they changed from the 1993 Fox Body.

 

I raced a cobra that night and he spanked me lol i beat him up till about 55mph then he went right by me i think he ran 12.7 but it was around a 2000 model
