I just got done installing my short ram today. Pretty basic installation, only thing I did differently was that I drilled a small hole to mount the bracket for the boost control onto so it wasn't hanging freely. UR suggested to just tie it down, but wanted something a little more permanent and appealing. I had to get a longer tube to do this because the factory one was very short and had to be bent too much to mount onto the right casing.

Would a K&N panel not be better? Looks like it will draw alot of hot air from the turbo while at a stand still.

In a car with an intercooler how much difference is there gonna be in power between a short ram and long ram intake? The purpose of an intercooler is to cool the air before it hits the turbo.

 

no, intercooler cools the air AFTER the turbo not BEFORE
