For gas mileage use your info meter gauge. Keep the throttle output bar above 25...
This pretty much means driving in vacuum. It's how I average 24mpg. And 300mile tanks.

this morning, i removed the intake snorkel (the piece going from the front of the car to the air-box) and noticed my mpg's go from 20.x average on my commute to 23.x. not too bad for a two minute operation.

.that is very possible an actual increase.

....but eventually the ecu will compensate for the lean condition and begin to

richen the A/F ratio.......... the MPG gain will possibly go away.

Your drawing in hot air, which mean less power.

that's my 2 cents. and 260miles is good for a full tank ~ 24mpg (at least for me its good)

Guess it depends on how many gallons you are putting in. If you are putting in more than 11 gallons, check your math.

I would think 300+ for all highway driving.

I find that shifting around 2500rpm, right before you start to feel boost, yields great fuel mileage. I thought something happened to my fuel gauge at one point because it wasn't running out nearly as quick as when i drive it like the sports car it is. More air = more fuel More rpm = more fuel. Just don't lug down your engine with high gears before its ready for them.

6th gear, 70 MPH on a truly flat section of highway, feathering the gas had me at 28-32 MPG.

The problem is that flat doesn't last very long

When Cobb get around to getting maps for our cars they will likely have a fuel economy map that lowers the boost and improves mileage (They have one for the EVO X).

Also just hit the info button on the car till you get the MPG bar graph and watch it while you drive. You'd be surprised how even slight throttle movements drops your mileage.

IF Cobb or anyone makes a fuel economy map that lowers the boost and improves the milage, let me know, I would be THE FIRST ONE IN LINE as I'm getting 14mpg from my RA in City driving. He's a thirsty little %$$$#! This 09 RA ...

That being said I don't recommend leaving it on 6th at super low rpms, will (most probably) wear down the clutch pack for 6th in the getrag SST.... and when I do it it makes a nasty (im the transmission and im bogged down) sound... do u guys notice that?

for the guy who said he gets 300 miles for the tank, can you please PM me a photo of that? I really need to see it I'm not even breaking 200 in city driving

Keep the thread rolling,

It seems it would be more efficient to drive in manual mode then. I don't know about everyone else, but normal auto mode shifts gears for me at around 3000 to 3500K rpms.

Keep the thread rolling,
300 miles highway, it will be much lower in the city. Especially if you are hitting boost every gear.

I spoke with Cobb and the RA is still in R&D with no ETA. You can go check out the EVO X map on the site. I don't think it's a huge gain, maybe 5-10%

going 80-90 mph the entire time and boosting the entire time getting 260miles on the tank is not terrible imo

if your going 55-60mph then it would be terrible ...

A flash so your AFR's get leaner instead of being pig rich like they are from the factory.

307 miles..completely full tank took her the whole way down to empty.= a 5 day experiment. and only once did i get on a highway. The rest is normal driving auto or normal manual... no sport.

This is coming from some1 that hasnt ever gotten above 250 miles a tank but i gave it a shot.. its possible (prolli not in a city though)
