ouch...
i was at my job yesterday in orlando when a thunderstorm came through. At first it was just heavy rain and wind, but soon after came big chunks of hail. so needless to say the hood / roof / trunk lid of my RA has tons of small dents in it. (mostly the hood)
i already called my insurance company and they gave me some places to take it. anyone know what the body shops do to get all the dents out? will they completely replace the hood and trunk lid?

Check your insurance policy to see if the replace with new parts or parts in like kind in quality. Most likely you will get new parts since you have a new car, but your policy provisions will determine what you get.
man that sucks but i have a friend who travails around the world popping dints they fly him to Texas all the time for hail storms and such. it will blow your mind how good some of those guys are if they send you some place shady im sure i can give you this guys number and he will work with your insurance. but ya i highly doubt they will replace any thing unless its cracked. any ways its covered under comprehensive.
First off, that sucks big time about the dents from hail. If you have like a swiss cheese crater type of dents all over, then more than likely will replace hood and trunk. If you have few dents, then it is possible for them to pull the "easy" dents out. But in all honesty, I don't see why your insurance would not just replace them to save time and money.
See if you can get a carbon fiber hood and/or trunk lid if they need to be replaced. I was able to replace my stock intercooler with a buschur deluxe when I had an accident. It costs the same so the insurance company didn't care.

yeah thats what i was thinking... if they were going to replace the hood i could get a seibon cf hood for cheaper than the oem hood. the hood has at least 20 dents on it so i would think they would replace that, the roof probably has 5-10, and the trunk lid only has 4-5. i was surprised the mitsu paint held up, and the hail didnt break any glass.

just got my car back... they didnt have to replace anything at all, and no paint work either. i was glad i had insurance once i looked at the bill hahah... over $1,500 worth of damage. they found dents i didnt even see. 50+ dents on the hood, 30+ on the roof, 5 on the trunk, and a couple on the doors, fenders, etc.
everything looks awesome now, and they detailed it too
