Just wanted to introduce myself, just got a new ralliart and I'm quite impressed and more or less satisfied with this car. I came from an 07 e92 328i that was totaled and decided to get something fun but a little less expensive. For the most part very happy and excited at the responsiveness of the engine. I actually was heading towards an EVO X but reality set in and the car is just too costly. So black ralliart with recaro package, furture mods: lowering, coilover set pending, got 35% tint all around, cant have too dark car is already a magnet. Blow off valve, then a base flash. Still deciding on painting the wheels black/gunmetal or leaving it stock. Alright hope I get some usefull information from this post.

good idea going for suspension first on mods. You will see the most gains out of a flash, but it's your car!

Congrats on the new Ralliart! I just got one myself except mine doesn't have a recaro package and isn't black it's rotor glow orange... Anyway... Yeah, I'm thinking about doing some ups to mine soon, probably exhaust, ecu flash, and air intake... Good luck!

 

Thank you everyone but only one complaint, the black is really hard to keep clean, looks mean but shows every little scratch, swirl, and good luck droppings. Just drove through the canyons yesterday and I'm really quite impressed with the handling, only wish the steering ratio was tighter. Pix coming soon post drop

 

Hmmm...wierd. I thought the Recaro seats were standard on the 09 RAs. Mine came with 'em and it is the base RGO RA. Unless you're talking about the leather Recaro/Premium package?

Very nice coming from a beemer;

One thing though, AMS doesn't recommend blow off for us SST tranny's (not to mention blow off aint really a good think for any tranny for that matter). And the Base flash is the way to go right now!

I really think the Ralliart should've brought those Gunmetal wheels they showed off at the car show before its release; but I think its a good thing to get them pained Gunmetal... I'll do mines this weekend and see how it comes out

Only in Canada you get Recaro's on base package, and I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think the leather Recaro's are even an option for US (correct me if i am wrong guys).

 

Ok guess i'll leave my wheels stock for awhile, but thinking about getting the ecu flash from ralliartperformance.com what are your thoughts on their tune, the price looks pretty good to me.

 

i just bought my ralliart and i test drove a different one that had the recaro seats in leather, could just be a dealer show car though
