Scooping up an '09 Apex Silver tonight but won't be driving it much for now (got about 1,000 miles left to burn on my '06 Passat 2.0T lease). Thoughts on break-in? Did you guys avoid running your RA too hard for a few hundred or a few thousand miles to start or did you drive it hard out the gate? People always have different thoughts on motor/tranny break-in periods...

 

Congrats, got the same 1. I drove it easy with gradually increses in RPM for 1000 kms, the I had fun.

took it easy as far as not stomping it for the first thousand miles and oil change.

 

I did an oild change after a 1000 miles I was tould to do so by a friend becasue he said the motor breaking in could have lil metal shavings in the oil.

yeah I did it and mines running liek a champ even with mods on it.
