Should I go STI?
If i had to do it all over again I wish I built an EVO...I love to hate my suby! Overall if you were going to build "500hp" sti and evo...it would cost more for an STI. Which one would be more reliable over time? the Suby(thats with built long block and everything.
Sti's have this faulty piston in em made of HYPEREUTECTIC type...took me a while to find that word
anyways..it's great for blowby but sucks since it cracks soo easily! But the tranny can hold 800lbs+ STOCK! can't say that for any of the evos
PARTS are soo much cheaper for the 4g63s since they've been out for soooo long

thanks for all the inputon the sti's I dont know much about them. I always wanted an evo, So if I do trade, it WILL be for an evo. Just kinda sucks with all these deals going around for the Evo's and I already have me 09 RA, feels like I should have waited...blah. o well.

Dude, be happy with what you got, because there's a good chance that if you got an sti/evo, you would be saying "Dude, why didn't I just get the GT-R".

For almost double the money, do you really get that much more performance? Mod either the STI or EVO and be further ahead for way less money. Furthermore, where will you ever come close to using the limits of any of these 3 cars on the street? STI, EVO, GT-R?

For double the money, YES, you do get that much more performance. The GT-R run at Nuremberg proves that. You will NEVER get the same performance from an Evo, STI, WRX, or even RA as you will from a GT-R, speed maybe, performance, no.
As for "where will you ever come close to using the limits of any of these 3 cars" a lot of people AutoX these cars on the weekends. In terms of a straight up daily driver, these cars are a bit over the top, but then that's just my opinion. For me the RA is a perfect DD, good power, great handling, great looks, but others want something more, to each their own.
Personally, I would love to have a GT-R for a daily driver if for no other reason than the looks of the car and it's features.
Ummmmm...no, you can't. It's impossible to mod a car to be "better" in every way than a stock car. Sure an STI or Evo can be quicker but then you have to deal with top speed (I doubt a stock Evo or STI transmission is capable of hitting the GTR top speed), reliability, driveability, cost of mods, warranty work, etc. If you want GTR performance, buy a GTR.
Oh brother, this again.
