The 'Rex blew the SB outta the water, and the Sportback's even heavier than us sedans on top of that!
Oh Mitsu Mitsu Mitsu... how is it you have cheaper interior and still your car weights more (I know... it's not about the interior but still you get what I mean?)
Ugh... look at the slalom and skidpad discrepancies;
Also they say the Hatch 'Rex is also a bit heavier but the numbers wouldn't have changed by that much
Edit:
Mitsu updated it's website with some more Sportback material

According to Subaru, the hatch is only a pound heavier then the sedan. One is available only with a stick, the other only with a manumatic, so it would seem even though they compete head to head, they will still attract different buyers unless Mitsu decides to decontent the Sportback to go toe to toe directly with the WRX. Mitsu has always made the faster car, but was always picked on for not being as "refined" as a Subaru, now it seems they have switch roles on this level - they are chasing sales numbers, not mag comparos.

That is one of the slowest 0-60 times for the WRX I have seen in a long time. I thought all the rally lovers swore by the fact that the hatch was the better setup?!! By the way, the only thing the sportback looks better than, is an old station wagon.

I'm not surprised at all. I don't see any way of Sportback being better than WRX. Except the looks.

Only supprised that I don't see moonroof as an option on the RA. Unless I missed something. I mean it seems that's the direction things are going for the ralliart, so why not...

I am, I figured the Sportback would be faster, better brakes, wider tires, manual trans, better suspension...kinda like the 08 vs. 09 WRX. MAJOR changes to compete. Not with Mitsu!!! WOW, what a slug, in looks and performance. Why did they even bother, it is basically insulting to the badge of RA!!!!

Seems like a pretty nice car that will fill a hole in their current lineup. I guess that doesn't translate into selling a lot but, still seems like the right move to make. The execution may be off, but that seems to be a matter of preference.
