Hmm.. I wonder if it's because of the humidity.

I doubt that I got you beat in humidity daily. Have the ignition system checked by the dealer if it keeps doing it.

I've never had this problem -- could people maybe define 'heavy' rain? Here in Maritime Canada we mostly get the something like the British norm of long drawn-out showers, rather than thunderstorms, but I'd like to know if I need to worry next time we have a monsoon type shower (what we'd call a monsoon here is like a heavy thundershower in most of North America... maybe we should all be sympathetic to the plight of any Ralliart owners in the real tropics).

btw -- very helpful tip about checking the air filter.

Had it happen to me a couple times during the break-in process. Has never happened since. Knock on wood. Are you still breaking in your motor? I know that 08+ Lancers(X too) have had ignition issues in the past maybe this is the same thing.

PS, OP; I think I saw your RA @ the target on hall road once. Tints on the rear passengar/windshield...vanity plate (Don't remember the #). Was that you? I parked right next to it when I went in, but I guess I beat the owner of the WW RA out. I waited a bit to say hi but I gave up after 5-10 minutes.

i already got 1600miles on it and the 2nd time it happened was just last tuesday at my office parking lot. going home after work, tried to start it and it took 3-5 seconds before it start.

regarding hall road target: we do go at target on hall road but i dont think it was mine you saw cause i only have regular license plate but i am glad/proud to meet someone with the ralliart.

I'm in Michigan, as well. Near you guys. I'm in West Bloomfield. I go to LOTS of meets, at least 2-3 a week all over the Detroit area. Why don't you guys come out? Also dyck, when and where did you get your RA?
