Which results in lower gas mileage when you step on it and you are at 1800 rpms. Not sure what was thinking with that one.
Auto in "sport" mode is pretty good, and makes running the twisties fun as well. One of the first times I took the car out, after break in period, I ran it strictly in auto-sport mode just to see what it could do, and I was impressed. The car managed to stay in the power band and did a fantastic job of down shifting, as well as upshifting!!! Now to do something about the tire grip.

HAH...

Yah I've tried all the modes, except super sport mode because I'm still breaking it in. I did it a bit but it was reving way too high so I had to turn it off. I feel most comfortable driving aggressively in the twisties with the manual, can engine brake, can pre-determine where the power should be as I'm coming up to a different corner than last time, and plus it's more fun. I AM THE MASTER OF THE CAR NOT THE TRANSMISSION . Also why I turn off aws the first step. I don't want my car braking and accelerating for me.

Kinda wrong but, in 2 years I'm upgrading to a BMW 335 Xi and adding the 3000 dollar Dinan flash to bump it to 400HP to the motor, I paid a bit over 40g's for my Ralliart with extended warranty, about 10g's more plus you can talk it down some more on the price, I think I will get the BMW, test drove one 2 days ago, and what a car...But the Ralliart is great too, with all my mods, gonna get my final dyno tune Sept 14 and see what it puts out, and what more they can do....

Why would you take the 335 Xi over an Evo X? Handling doesn't even compare and putting a few minor bolt ons and a tune (less than $1k) you can turn the X into 400hp.

I dont plan to track my car, So I dont want a X, I drive in the city all the time, so i will not even use the close to the full potential of the EVO. I know the handling is far superior then the 335, but i want the 335 for its performance, finished quality, luxuries, looks ( EVO has the looks too) and the ride comfort, plus I need a family car, one where the back seats fold down..theres tons of lil extras that the EVO cant get, power/memory seats, push start, (among many other things that dont matter, but why not haha) and the AWD system is pretty good too.

The ralliart and EVO are great cars dont get me wrong, one thing i miss from going from my 2007 GTI to the Ralliart, is the fit and finish, too many rattles, quality is way better, and depending on the dealership, which im sure there are alot out there, the warranty, and service kinda blows, they like to argue over things, and have the last breath, VW the warranty, and service was awesome, even at both dealerships i went to.

So complete package the 335 for me serves what I want and need better

Bigger down payment is always a good thing. Smaller payments mean more money for parts and gas

a bunch of things had to fall into place for me to get my RA and it was a fluke that everything worked out.

Hope things work out for you, great stepping stone car until you give in and get an EVO. That's my plan

Not that it's the same thing, but I started out with an 04 Ralliart. That was a good car as a stepping stone as well. It had so much torque... was incredible.

if you plan on hauling around anything more than a small bag/suit case/box of cereal, get the sportback. The trunk is SOOOO small on the sedan. I can fit a backpack and a sleeping bag. that's it.

If you're willing to Tetris it, you can fit a lot of crap into it. Obviously not as much as the sportback but still quite a lot.

Most times when I just go hiking, I can fit 2 large multi-day backpacks, a duffle bag, and 2 bags of boots into the trunk easy with the standard duffle bag of car supplies that I keep in there.
