I heard about this not too long ago. I'm kinda confused as to why the Mustang has less horsepower compared to the Taurus.

Maybe to compete with the BMW 335xi, Audi A6 and other such vehicles in the same class.

The only thing u might have to worry about is a strait line, will never catch the lancer in the corners

heck for 37k, u can do a lot with a lancer

The next Mustang will either have an option for the 5.0 Coyote or the Ecoboost Turbo motor. I am not so sure about the Mustang not hanging with the Lancer in the corners either.

wow that thing looks pretty sweet... but for 37k+ i'd much rather have an evo. like ^^^^ this isn't in our price range to be considered competition

Totally different class of car. They are not in competition.

The SHO is after the BMW, Audi, Jag crowd.

In Aussieland, they have the Falcon with that motor. Ford will never produce the Mustang V6TT since the American public wants the V8...personally, I'd take the V6TT in a heartbeat.

Just a note, you all are high if you think this car is competition for the Ralliart. A car like the new SHO is aimed directly at the BMW 5 series, Mercedes E-class, and other full-size luxury V8 cars in the $45k-$55k range.
