Hey i am new to this forum and also new owner of a 09 ralliart. I was wondering what mods are worth it to put on it and since it is a V4 does it sound good with new exhust and what kind is the best one and does a BOV do anything to the car and is it worth buying? sorry for all the questions...

Thanks

? It's not a V4, it's an inline 4. The stock BPV is fine.

No, BOVs do not make power unless the stock is leaking, which it won't be.

It'd be better then that plastic POS that comes from the factory. Synapse would be the best. I have a 3" downpipe I'm trying to get rid of if you want a downpipe back exhaust.

No, purely aesthetic and even then to actually hear it you would need an intake. Also, it's technically not a blow-off valve, it recirculates back to the engine. "blowing-off" to the air is no bueno.

There's no proof that the plastic piece is a problem.

No cash, so just a K&N drop in. Solely because my air filter was dirty, so might as well have changed it to a K&N. My plans are to change to some 18x8 rims, throw on some 245s then add exhaust and get it tuned. Perhaps a rear sway bar.

I would go with 235s or even 225s on those wheels, 245s fit but they feel vague. The best feeling setup I had was 225s on an 8" wheel.

Hmm dully noted. I'll probably go with 235's then. Thanks Amby.

235s are pretty good, I probably would have gone with those instead of the 225s if I hadn't got a ridiculous deal on the 225s (RE01Rs for I think 125$ a tire, part of that massive clearance when the RE11s came out).

It seems that at stock boost levels the stock bypass valve (recirculated blowoff valve) is fine. Cheap upgrade if you plan to raise boost levels is to purchase a used EVO X stock BOV from someone who has gone aftermarket. If you are looking for the BOV noise get an aftermarket intake and you will be able to hear it. Be aware that SOME intakes require a retune of the engine computer and others do not... make sure you know what you are getting. For exhaust systems, you want something that is 3" diameter, stainless steel, and mandrel bent.... sound quality is in the ear of the beholder, so no way to know what suits you without hearing it. Find vids on line of different systems and that will help a bit, but nothing matches listening live to someone in your local area.

As far as "what have you done to your Ralliart" it is listed in my signature Best 1/4 mile 13.05 @ 103.7
