Newbie Alert!

Hello,
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Tim and I am 8 hours away from being the owner of a new 2009 Rotor Glow Orange Ralliart. After work today I go to the dealership and sign the papers and then swap my plate and viola!

Our previous 2nd family car was a 2001 Pontiac Grand AM GT1 which while in immaculate shape was starting to have electronic issues and a more increasing incidents of unreliability. Kinda sad to see it go, but it was time.

I did my research and bought the Ralliart for a few reasons.

· 4 doors (it is still a family car)
· Affordability (while the Audi S4 grabbed my soul the payments released its grip)
· The TC SST tranny I won’t have to teach my kid how to drive standard on a new car
· AWD keeps the wife happy
· Its Bad Azz attitude and performance. I wanted something fun to drive especially in the colder months.
· Reasonably good gas mileage compared to my other vehicle 2003 F150 Lariat with a 5.4 V8
· Ability to further mod once the warranty is up or I want more power. Something the Pontiac 3.4 V6 lacked
· Don’t tell the wife but its another Toy

I went with the base Canadian model Ralliart as the $5000.00 Premium package was not worth the extra money IMO YMMV

Well no pics of my new RA yet. However I am sure you all know what it looks like.

In the mean time I will post a picture of my summer transportation. I hope to have my 2 babies pose for a "family photo" tomorrow.

Ciao
RADriver

stock ralliart/gts seats are uncomfortable , take it from someone who has driven an 08+ lancer for about 75k miles (2008 es currently has 55k miles, stopped driving it around 40-45k brother drives it now, 2009 gts currently has 33k miles). I put in the evo x / ralliart recaros at about 10k miles on the 09 gts and have not looked back. Best $650 dollars ive spent (bought seats for 1k shipped sold stock seats for 350). i began to have back issues on long 6 hour drives in the 08 es.

anyway congrats on the purchase.

im 5' 11" 160lbs and the recaros are just fine for me the only people who find it uncomfortable are my parents when they use my car when i borrow my dads truck other than that everyone loves them.

also the seats are uncomfortable to those who dont have them set properly, sit closer to the wheel and dont have them angled so far back theres an equilibrium that is different for every person.

No complaints here about the stock seats, they are soft. My girlfriend thinks they are comfortable too, and she is picky ::shrug::

its all a matter of preference and the individual persons characteristics, if they feel great after using them for over 50k miles then even better for you.

to the OP sorry for going off topic post pics of your ralliart when u get it. seat conversation ends here.

I got the Rotor Glow Orange too. It certainly stands out from the crowd.

The orange definately stands out from the crowd along with the amazing Octaine blue, but id have to say more neutral colors are better they arent as big of cops magnets. Congrats on the new car

Great choice!!!... I love my RG, it turns heads wherever it goes, especially since there is only one Mitsubishi dealer in a very large area... Not many people even know what it is. I've yet to see a single other RA in the area.
