i really dun think the intention of is really to "limit" the RA from reaching Evo power level ...
Even if u have 5MT on RA, you wont have S-AWC..

so the Evo guys will still have something that ull never be able to get with a RA no matter how u tune it..

Yeah thats true but I'm just saying HP wise.. I'm just saying for daily driving S-AWC isn't necessary for everyone and for 12K more.. If you want to spend that much money for a DD go ahead but HP wise it's very easy to reach EVO stock specs with just a couple bolt ons and mods that aren't that expensive.

Don't get me wrong I love the EVO X and I would drive EVO rather than a ralliart but 12K is too much.. It's just my opinion. The OP could do whatever he wants lol

yeah .. thats also the reason y i chose the RA .. as a DD the RA is really enough .. im just saying Evo will have its own share of buyer in the market .. not because the RA has 5MT/wider body that it can move the Evo owners to RA grade..

Yeah I wish I could actually make use of my awc on a dirt road somewhere... lol So S-AWC is overkill for me lol Maybe when it rains more in the summer I can use it more off road somewhere

You still won't get:

A) Evo looks, aggressive stance, body style, etc.
B) AYC
C) Evo Badge

Question is: IS it really worth the price difference? That's up to the buyer.

I just found a 08 GSR X for 22.5k with 43k miles on it. Debating on if I want to check it out or not. Costs as much as I paid for my RA. Course I do not know how to drive manual but for that I could force myself I think haha. Doubt I will jump on it though.

A) To the enthusiast they know you dont have an Evo but to anyone else who doesn't know the difference they all think it's an Evo until you tell them its not. My 100% stock ralliart beat out 30 some imports including modded Evo's, STI's and wrx's in a car show last summer at a college. That goes to show ya how much it stands out already among the other cars. You'd be surprised how much small exterior mods change the look of the car.

For an aggressive stance grab some lowering springs and different rims. Lower cars look more aggressive all around. Now I know there's pics up all over the place of cars that are modded and lowered and people can say they don't have the aggressive look but you can only get so much from a pic. You wont get a true feel until you see it in person.

B) If your at the track then this will come in handy. But in daily driving not so much. The 8's and 9's lived without it and did just fine.

C) Honestly where I'm at there's so many Evo's the badge has lost its impact. I'd rather have the Ralliart badge that 98% of the public doesn't know what it is and generates that sense of wonder. Its also a rarer car out there people either have a GTS or an Evo. That's just my opinion though.

Well that's right for sure if 27,500 = 39,000 to anyone looking at ralliart vs evo x, why not buy the evo cuz there isn't a substitute for the evo. Ralliart is just unique on it's own.

But the thing is... if the OP is contemplating on deciding... then 27K being = to 40K would be out of the question. He is probably worrying about the cost of all the maintenance, fuel, and insurance too.

Im deleting all of the off topic post.
The OP asked for your opinion.
Give your opinion and leave it at that. Trying to jam your views on which car is better and why down each others throats solves nothing.
Next time i come in here im issuing points.
Have a good night gents/gals.

It's an differential thats electronically controlled and uses sensors to determine when it should bias torque to one wheel.

This site has the explanation http://www.mitsubishi-cars.co.uk/features/ayc.asp

You can turn it off with the ASC button after turning off traction control.
