Dealer Oil Change or DIY?

Looking at the walmart site now, it lists several types of mobile 1 synthetic oil, 10w-40, 5w-30, etc - which should I be using? Based on the write-ups provided 5w-30 sounds like its the right now (currently on sale at crappy tire for 34.99 for a 4.4L) I live in southern ontario (if weather and region has any effect).
Brad - where did you pick up your filters from? What would you recommend? K&N, FRAM?
