He got a good deal on his trade but and crappy deal on the EVO.. you should have said after test drive,... "you know what give me an 09 MR at that price and im sold.."

I wish I could just pay off my the Ralliart fully like that. I couldn't even dream of going upside down on a new car on a trade in on another new car.

yeah sales guys dont care what you do to it, they are always trying to be buddy buddy for a sale.
Be prepared for your car to be looked over with a fine tooth comb if you bring it in for any service work.. If you thought the RA was bad, you haven't seen nothing yet with an EVO.
Also 36,900 seems pretty high for a GSR, cuz i thought i seen someone pick up a 10 MR for 39k. Probably coulda found a fully loaded 08 for under 28k, still a few around.

Dealer told me if I make changes to the RA and they don't pass inspection with the Mitsu tech I'm out of warranty coverage and they won't pay for failed parts. With the EVO you are absolutely going to get no slack when they pop the hood and find any after-market parts. Every dealer is hurting out there with the economy, they aren't going to give you the benefit of the doubt. And don't be fooled by the sweet talking sales guy.
I'd say anyone that upgrades go out and look for the X for sale by owners first. I saw one up for 21k already. I too would want to upgrade but I'm not going to take the hit on the markup on a new X.
