Last week my wife and I went out and traded in my 08 eclipse gt for a 09 ralliart, got it brand new with 400 miles on it. so far I LOVE it, however today I dropped it off to put snow tires on it and some lady backed up into the rear quarter panel. I got her insurance info and the claim is in process. I was so pissed off I could've strangled her. Othe than that I have nothing bad to say about this car, I drive a 55 mph road to work everyday for about 25 miles and I get avg of 31 mpg. I plan on putting a K&N filter in it and thats about it for now. I also need to call the stealership and verify if the recalls have been done to it.

Wow, 31 MPGs? That's pretty darn good. I just purchased mine too as its getting prepped. Picking it up on Saturday Hope my mileage is just as good! Congrats on the car!

Yeah how on earth are u getting 31mpg?

Going 45 mph on cruise control on a flat empty stretch of highway, I got 29mph and that was the HIGHEST i evar got.

 

31?! Wow The best I have ever got was 27.1 using the hills up here in CT at 70mph on the HW.

 

I can get 31 all day long, cruise on flat highway at 55 MPH and you too can get 31 mpg

Yes, I'm sure I have the ralliart haha. I had the cruise set on 59 and it was a nice day out and I don't have a 100 pound right foot. lol

Anyways I got a call from the chicks insurance company. The guy was like well sir She is saying that the employee at Tires plus backed up into her, so now i'm on the run around trying to figure out who freaking hit who, either way I see it SOMEONE is going to pay for the damage.. (1386.19) to be exact. I called tires plus and talked to the sales guy who called and told me about the accident and he said no no no I was standing right in the window and watched it happen. I'm sure I'll be getting a phone call from the insurance tomorrow.

 

Off topic: Ppl are LIARS! B4 i got my 1st Lancer i had a lady reverse into me at a red turning light because she wanted to change lanes and said she didn't see me. When the cop came she changed her story and said that she was over the lane and was tryin to reverse and i was too close.

I've gotten 31 mpg before. I once got a one hour stretch where the car computer said I was getting 33 mpg.

 

Oh yeah if you don't mind my asking what was the depreciation on your eclipse? Trading it in after only a year I would think you must have taken a bath on that.
