Evo X Battery not charging
Evo X Battery not charging
Hello fellas,
I am writing with an issue I am currently having with my car.
Story is as follows:
After staying for 5 days in my garage, I started the car and the battery light on the dash was turned on. After 10 seconds, the light turned off, then after another 10 it was on again.
This repeated several times with different intervals, until it was permanently on. After driving for a bit, it flashed ABS warning, which led me to believe that either my battery was dying or it was not charging.
I stopped the car and turned on my battery charger overnight.
Next day, on fully charged battery, light is still up.
Then it appears it should be alternator.
I took it off and sent it to a professional to review it.
They said that it works just fine.
Now all is assembled, but it appears my car does not want to set the command to charge the battery.
Currently, when key is in ACC, I do not see the battery light and when car is started there is no battery light either.
At the same time the alternator is not charging the battery.
Any ideas where should I look?

Check the white 3 wire connector on the alternator. If it's on tight, take it off and check the condition of the connector as well.
Check the fuse at the positive battery connection. It is the 100 Amp fuse.
There is also a 7.5 Amp fuse under the dash in that fuse box. This is the fuse that is for the ignition on trigger for the armature in the alternator.
