Lightening Ralliart?

I got new rims, which at 20lbs each (compared to the stock 46lbs per rim), along with lighter lug nuts (2-3lbs saved), lightened my Ralliart by around 107lbs. And that's unsprung weight, and along with rotational mass and whatnot, it's a big difference.

I also took out the rear headrests so that I have better visibility, but that couldn't have saved more than a lb or 2.

Anyway, what are some other ways of lightening this car? Besides buying a new exhaust for $1000 that reduces the weight by 20lbs.

stock rims are about 25lbs.

the 46-48lb # thats been quoted a lot on the forums is the weight of the rim and tire.

Yeah stock RIMS are NOT 46 lbs each.
Spare tire
Light weight battery.
How radical do you want to go?
stereo,
AC
airbags,
seats,
everything

+1 It really depends on how far you want to take it.

I personally weighed one rim and tire, and I got just North of 48 lbs. But that is for the rim AND tire. Others have recorded weights as high as 50 lbs. With a 20 lb rim (and depending on the weight of the tire), you are probably saving about 5-6 lbs per corner.

As for the other ways to reduce weight, the sky really is the limit. On a DD car, the following is about as far as I would take it:

Rims/tires: a total savings of 40-50 lbs is the best you are going to see.

Exhaust: a savings of about 30 lbs (maybe 40 if you go with a custom titanium exhaust or something...)

Battery: a savings of about 30 lbs (maybe 40 if you go with an extremely expensive battery)

Brake kit: you might be able to save some weight with an aftermarket brake kit, though, since our brakes are much smaller and lighter than the EVO's, the most you are likely to see is about 5 lbs per corner or so.

Carbon fiber paneling: you could save a few pounds here or there with a trunk, hood, etc.

Anything after that, you are going to need to start sacrificing a lot of things that should be kept on a DD car for both safety and legality.

That could be right, but I know the total for me came out to a little over 48 lbs. If the stock Yokohamas are 25 lbs each, that's just sad.

Tire Rack lists them as 23lbs for the stock tires.

I did a comparison of all the tires in stock for 215/45-18 size and the stock Advans are actually one of the lighter tires out of the 25 I compared. The only tires that were significantly lighter were the General Exclaim UHP's at 20lbs/corner.

If the tires are 23 lbs stock (never verified that for myself), that means the stock rims are 25-26 lbs each (which I would believe given the size and design). It would also make sense given that I saved about 3-4 lbs per corner by going to EVO VIII rims.
