Rain sensing wipers/auto headlights

Can anyone take pics of their 2010 headlight/wiper stalks with auto wipers/lights and some pictures of the sensor behind the rear view mirror?

I am looking at what it takes to retro fit the 2008 X's and 2009 Ralliarts with this feature. From what I can tell looking through the part numbers, the stalks are the same. The roof wiring harness also has the same part number, meaning that the sensor plug should be under the headliner.

I am pretty confident that you can order the sensor and the trim cover, plug them in, and reprogram the etacs with the Mut-III tool. In the parameters it has an option to tell the etacs if the car is equipped with the sensor or not.

If this is the case, then for about $250 dollars in parts and a half hour hook-up to a Mut III tool, us 2008-2009 guys can update our cars to have these features.

Yeah the CDN premium model comes with the auto rain sensing wipers I would have thought the US with Recaro Sport pack would have had it too.

LMAO, the sales manager at my local dealer told me that it was the antenna for the GPS, I said are you sure its not for the wipers too and he said "son, I do this for a living, I know what I'm talking about"

To be honest I find the wipers to be a pain in the **** as they go off when they shouldn't and don't go off when they should, especially if theres a lot of spray about.

The auto headlights are good though

rain sensing wipers imo are dumb.

on a road trip to california my friend in his 2004 vw R32 was following me and he has rain-sensing wipers, well after about 300 miles into the 1500 miles trip i realized the use of my wipers + fluid = his wipers going crazy...

yeah he got pretty annoyed wit me after a few times

Is it really that hard to flip a switch down when it starts raining? Unless this comes standard or the SSS package I can't see paying extra for this feature. Auto headlights would be nice but then again the non auto turn off when you open the door anyways.

+1

I use rain-x and it works like a charm at 60+. During the day, there is a little bit of glare from the water beading off and I use the wipers on a low freq but at night, I've never had to use wipers above 40mph in any kind of rain. I don't need the car telling me when to wipe.
