Ok, so today I was driving home from work and a van with four guys pulled up next to me on the right at a light. I had my windows down because it was a nice day out. Anyway, one of the guys in this van said to me "How slow is that car?" So I said you mean how fast.

Then out of the blue he says no thats a slow piece of sh**t, wanna race? So I replied what, race against a van? He said no I have a MR2, so I said fine I'll race you. Then he says oh sorry I don't race against slow pieces of sh**t and drives off fast as hell so I would'nt be able to reply. He must have not been expecting that response because he looked kind of shock lol.

Anyway he kind of got punked out because he backed down in front of all his friends, but I also feel punked out because he made fun of my car and got away with it lol. I don't know what it is about this car that attracts all of these *******s. I mean I had a 2010 Camaro when it was freash out of the dealers and no one had them and I never got people like this. Its like almost every day someone does something like this to me.

I don't know if its my lound exhaust or maybe the bright color of it. Is anyone else having people do this to you? Why is everyone disrespecting my RA lol? It may not be any Evo but its still fast. With my exhaust and K&N air filter I'm happy with it. Future mods are deff in store tho lol.. if you want to know just ask.

Anyway all I have to say is STOP DISRESPECTING MY RALLIART!!! lol

What can you do sometimes decent people run into stupid people, tell him next time you'll race his mr2 with your van. It's just the ralliart does look aggressive and can bring out the ego in people.

 

Lol I find it funny how he is driving around with four guys in a "mom bus" instead of driving his MR2. Especially since it was like 70 out and all the girls were looking good today. I'm thinking he doesn't even have a MR2 now lol.

 

That's life. You could be rocking a Lambo and that same douche would have said the same thing. He is obviously insecure about the fact that he was driving a van and living in his Mom's basement with Hello Kitty bed sheets and life-sized Twilight cardboard cutouts.

Just enjoy your car and enjoy the fact that you are not like him. =)

You know yourself that your RA is awesome. The person is probably use to seeing plain jane Lancers around town with the short wing and being a person without proper knowledge, decided to open his big mouth to brag about his MR2 that he probably does not even have. Although my wife purchased an EVO for me, I have to tell you that your RA is a sleeper of a vehicle. I had an opportunity to see my friend's RA with only Intake and Exhaust mods take down vehicles that you would think would be faster - the EVO IX based TC-SST tranny helps out a great deal. Enjoy that RA, and do not let others tell you otherwise; funny enough, the RA may be my wife's next car.

 

I had a NA Lancer trying me wtf. So i know you're torment he upped the speed to way over limit +20 and I'm like peace . Some people are just at that stage in their lives where they **** on things, and they think it makes them theirs lol.

 

I woulda just said its slow and asked him to trade for the van..

You pretty much punked yourself for playing along with him..

 

In 10 months with my Octane Blue RA I haven't heard anything but positive remarks, and lots of looks. Sometimes even people going the opposite direction on the freeway are looking. Of course, now the copycat Outlander is killing my vibe.
I'm with you, that kid was just jealous and you're right he failed in front of his buddies!

Should've said "I would but I'm gonna be on duty in about half an hour" then checked out their plates.

I'd probably would've ignored it, I mean, could happen to anyone in a car that looks remotely sporty. There's more to life than to mull over it.
