Frusterating Day At The Track

Well i went to the drag strip last night. However, i was having problems with getting my car into Sport Mode. There were a good number of cars running and the typical wait in line was about 20-30 min. I wanted to turn my engine off and let my turbo cool off. However, whenever i started my car up to take it to the line and put it in sport mode it would stay in normal mode. The launch would be sluggish and the shifts would be hard till about half way down the track, then it would finally smooth out. Any one else have a delay putting the car into sport mode when driving the car? If so what do other drag racers do to combat this situation??

On a better note i made 5 runs with my SLOWEST RT of .32 And a FASTEST of .103. I only had one good run all night with a 1/8 mile at 8.48 @83MPH. Best part of the night was when my wife took my car and raced someones girl friend racing his STI. My wife took her off the line with a RT of .3 and ran a 8.69!

No delay for me, as soon as I put it into sport mode it goes.

So it was a Fruste-rating night... well, at least it wasn't Frustrating

I always have Sport ready when I'm at the Drag strip. Never had that issue... Take it to the dealer? DON'T tell them you're racing the car, just say you tried to put it on Sport mode and it won't go on

Nothing like that here. I have the problem of not wanting to take it out of sport mode!

Acceleration from a dead stop for me is very sluggish and picks up at 4-5k rpm.
