Ralliart sounds better cold!

Am I crazy? whenever I start my Ralliart in the morning I have these great intake sounds for the first 5 minutes while the car is cold then it gets quiet.

Anyone else notice this?

Haven't really noticed that. Could be that when the car is cold it takes longer to shift up in automatic mode, so you may be hearing more because it's hitting higher RPMs. =)

Yeah probably the RPMs were higher to warm up the engine/tranny

same thing happens to my GTS, it is a gluggier noise for the first minute or two of idle. i think it's dumping more gas into the engine to get this sound though, but i could be wrong. hopefully i can hear it whenever i get my RA

open loop. car runs rich as hell, even more than usual, when you first start it. sort of like a computerized "choke" concept, it dumps fuel based on pre-set maf parameters. once it hits a certain set of parameters (temp/time/02 readings) then it switches into closed loop where it uses the 02 and other sensor readings together to determine how much fuel to send, and its usually quite a bit less, which could account for a car that seems to run much quieter/smoother
