Remote key access range

Does anybody else think that our Ralliarts remote key range way too short???
The farthest I could lock my ralliart is probably 30ft...
On the other hand, my girlfriend has a nissan altima coupe and the range of the key is friggin amazing compared to mine. Hers could lock the car probably 50 meters away if not more...
WTH...

My wife's old 08 Lancer and current 2011 Eclipse GS have the same kind of key, the Keyless Entry System but NOT the F.A.S.T Keyless Entry like us RAs, and they go FAR AS HECK... while I get away from my car about 2 cars distance and it's won't even blink the lights :-(

To sum it up, we are able to find her car in a parking lot from corner to corner (about 100ft away or more) ... the day we're driving my car, well let's just say I BETTER remember were I parked it

Hold it to your chin for increased range.

Hm... I guess it's just the FAST keyless system... My moms 2003 taurus key has more range than my key...

Range is discussed in the owner's manual. The limited distance appears to be an intentional function of the FAST system.
