do luck duckbill trunk replicas

Hey Guys,
So I was looking at buying a do luck duckbill trunk. If your not familiar with them I will include pic. Anyway, there is a company called ITZ that makes one that looks pretty good. I have never bought knock off parts, but then again, its a trunk, could it really be that hard. Tell what you guys think, just fishing for opinions on this brand and if anyone owns one. heres the link for ITZ

and for Do Luck

Do luck reg trunk, no carbon fiber goes for over 1k, without shipping.
Knockoff look alike use the same pics as Do luck goes for 399

Here's my 2 cents. I bought the CF do-luck from Bulletproof. The quality is amazing! Everything fits like it's OEM. I get compliments on the high quality of carbon fiber when I picked up a friend from a detailing shop. I've seen knock offs that don't line up properly or are made of weird carbon fiber. You get what you pay for is true, personally I wouldn't expect a trunk that costs half as much to hold up as much as saving up a bit more and getting great quality.

get original, authentic do-luck in frp. you'll be glad you did. if you like your car and you like to show it off, then you'll want to go for the real deal. the knockoff has alignment issues with the tail lights in relation to the other half of the lights in the bumper, and the gaps on it are also noticably larger than they should be. actual do-luck fits like oem in all aspects. well worth the money if you value the complete appearance of your car. if you dont mind having something "close" that you can tell just doesnt quite look right, like it doesnt belong there, then go with the knock off.

tjac, so you went with the carbon fiber one? I want to paint it match the GG of the rest of the car, but pretty sure do luck has aluminum version too. Did you get the dry carbon one or the wet one?

Yea I like the difference in color compared to TB and am going to add more CF as time goes on. If you want to paint it you'll have to ask a body shop how they go across painting CF since I'm not sure. As other people have said there's fpr which I'm guess is what you mean by aluminum. I'm not sure if it's wet or dry, but I got in from bulletproof so if you gave them a call I'm sure they could tell you.

Also I love how light weight the CF is compared to the stock trunk.

yea, its not aluminum, its fiberglass reinforced plastic. still super lightweight compared to stock unit. maybe a couple pounds heavier than the cf. if youre going to paint it anyway, there's really no reason for the extra money spent on the cf, imo. and i think the cf do-luck trunk is wet-laid carbon, if im not mistaken

Only difference now is I'm on summer tires/rims, may take pics tomorrow when it's light and post them in the official tarmac black thread.

chi-town's do-luck is in that thread too, a few pages back

Wow, that looks sick. If you coupled that trunk with that accolade evo x diffuser, it would look sweet. But that trunk alone really adds an aggressive edge to the RA, but looks refined and alot better than a wing spoiler
