There is a kit for iPod integration, but it only works with certain HUs.

According to the information I have, it only works with a Kenwood based (MXDZ07MM2) MMCS.
Don't know what model european/US units are though, does anyone know?

No, just the amp and the speakers. That is if you have the upgrade.

I believe the MMCS in Australia does it

I have the MMCS but don't own an iPod. I will check on Friday at a lancer meet. Lots of them have an iPod and MMCS
