hey guys i searched and couldnt really find an answer.i purchased a slim hid kit with relay harness from hid extra and i installed them but the relay keeps on making a buzzing sound any idea what i did wrong or what could i do to fix it.thanks

It should buzz slightly when it first turns on. That's what my slim ballast does because the ignitor is separate from the ballast.

Did you buy a DRL relay? I never tried the HID vendors relays, but have Jrox's DRL delete relay which works perfect!

Do the lights work normal? Check the grounds too.

 

i believe it is the drl relay i bought but its not the ballasts that are buzzing its the relay.i give another try tomorw and see what happens.thanks

 

you have a short in your set up. Do not run your kit or you will kill the bulb.

if your relay is buzzing, recheck your setup. One way you can confirm this is if you look closely at the bulbs when it is buzzing. It may appear off buti f you look closer you might even see the bulbs arcing.

 

One of m buddy has a X and it happened to his car. He took it into the dealer and got it cover under warranty.
Hopefully you got warranty. It'll save you a little hassle.
