That's crazy man. I feel you, right after the evo x swap too...We really can't tell without pulling the codes or anything. Did you visually inspect things?
Check the coolant reservoir? Oil Level? What did the UEGO WB and Boost gauge read last?

Was the battery disconnected when you installed the testpipe? (Even though I never really unplug the battery for that like I should.)

Did you upgrade the to the new fuel pump relay yet?

I bet the dealership won't even notice that you upgraded your turbo if you have your heat shields on.

just normal highway driving, nothing serious.

I visually inspected. Im leaking no fluids, no hoses are disconnected, everything seems in order.

Coolant level looked fine, i didnt check the oil level, but they did an oil change 3 days ago.

I dont remember anything suspicious on the gauges when it happened. I was at a dead still @ a traffic light, as soon as i touched the gas the car went bonkers with codes.

I dont think they disconnected. I get all my work done at the dealer, i buy all my stuff there, and have it installed there as well, its just easier that way. I realize that the test pipe have changed the wot afr readings but i was at idle and had gone wot earlier in the day a few tiems without issue.

No i havent upgraded my fuel pump relay. To be honest i didnt know there was one out there. Id love to get a walbro 255 but im pretty sure id need to retune.

car didnt stall. The computer cut the fuel and went insane with warnings.

When i turned the key, it would turn the radiator fans on full blast until i took the key out. That leads me to believe it wasa heat issue. If so im gonna get the ams trans cooler quicker then i had planned.

I know limp mode allows you to operate the car still. By safe mode i meant the car seemed to turn everything off at once for safety, hense safe mode.

the thing i upset me most was that i disconnected both battery terminals for 10 minutes, and the car still had the warnings stored when i tried to restart it.

Did u check to see that they remebered to put oil back in the car? I'm not trying to be a dumba**, there is a certain Mits dealer in the lower mainland (I know its not the one u go to) and they are known for draining the oil, putting in the plug and forgetting the oil.

Also I remember a thread a few weeks back about a RA owner installing a TP and the car wouldn't start that day or the next. If I remember right it was something with the 02. I'll see if I can find it.

Let us know what the problem turns out to be! That's not fun at all... Like mentioned earlier, I know installing a test pipe really should go hand in hand with a tune, but would it really shut the whole car down?

It takes so long because theres 2 o2 sensors. The primary on the downpipe and the secondary on the test pipe/cat which is for emissions.

If the fans were coming on, I know the motor was pretty hot. I'm crossing my fingers for you hoping its something simple.

OMG its not fuse. Go get the cel checked at autozone for free. They will tell you it is a 02 sensor second bank. This is because you had a dealer put on a test pipe. If you would have done this simple install your self or serched you would find out that you need to drill out a spark plug anti fauler and use it to space out your 02 sensor so you dont throw a cel.

Your post is completly useless untill you give us the codes.

clearly you have retardation issues. My dealer has installed 30+ testpipes, its not your average mitsu dealer, so spare me the drabble please.

They know how to do the install and the UR test pipe comes with an extended o2 bung.

A rear 02 inactive CEL would not make the motor shut off and make the car unable to turn on.

My bets are still on the rear 02 harness getting worn through and grounding on the chassis and blowing a fuse. Happens with the Evo 8/9 if you aren't careful and the exact same symptoms occur.

We had a local have it happen on a bridge. It was fun times....

i hope its this simple.

If this is the case would it need a new 02, or just a replacement fuse?
