Recalls

Ok. So, I have looked through most forums and have not found anyone talking about what recalls mitsu has done for the Ralliarts. I was wondering if someone could confirm all the recalls till this day for the ralliarts? A list would be great. Also would these recalls Canadian ralliarts as well? Thank you!

There has been a few that affect only RAs produced before certain dates. If u are worried that your car is affected by some recalls either ask your dealer or call Mits Canada and give them your vin#. It will tell you all recalls that relate to the dates after your car was manufactured.

I have had the following Recalls done to my RA which i bought July 2009:

AWC Pump Reflash
Replaced some Relays to help with Cold Weather Starting
Front Airbag Sensors
Hood Latch
Fuel Return Line Recall (Was a letter in the mail for this one)

This is all i can think of right now. If you have a good tech and you take your car in for service, they can print off a sheet that can show you all the recalls that affect your car and which ones have been done and what day they were done on.

I got a letter a month ago saying some Lancers with 18" wheels, the tyres may have been damaged during manufacture.

They look fine to me so I'll just get it checked next service to be sure.

RA's have 18's, so shouldn't apply to us, I'm guessing.

the tire recall was for the 18" dunlop on the standard lancer models and non-us ralliart models that came with the sp5000m tires. it was for uneven wear conditions, however they realized that it was caused by alignment spec, not the tires, which is why the 09+ has a slightly different orginal spec than the 08's. they updated the 08 spec after the recall to eliminate the excessive wear conditions.

Do you have more information on this recall? Ae you saying that it doesn't apply to the 2009 RA's, that the adjustment was made that year that fixed the problem? I have the Dunlop SP5000's on my 09 RA and they seem very worn for a year (especially with 5 months off in storage and only 14K clicks in total).

Thanks for the help. Your post was the first I've seen of the issue. I'll get back to you on the build date.

Hey there - sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. The build date on my car says December 2008. Is it affected by the tire issue? Thank you for your help.

i'll check it out for you and get back by the end of the day.

also, while looking it up, this wasnt an actual recall, so i was mistaken adding it here, although it was a bulletin so it still applies to the car, just nobody would have actually gotten a letter for it, they just covered it if you had crappy tire wear and complained about it.
