ACD Service required Help!

Guys,

Among other problems that i have been fighting with my RA, now it throws ACD Service required light. It seems to come on when the car sits outside for a few hours in a blasting heat, we have had a few very hot hot days, temperature during the day climbed in Toronto to 40 Celsius and up and in the sun. Anyway after 10 minutes of driving, and I mean just cruising, light will come on and stay. It will only go away if the car sits in the garage overnight. I took the car into the dealer yesterday in the morning, but as it always happens light was not coming up when I got there. Dealer told me they can't read the code unless the service light is on. I am at 42,000k right now. Did anyone have similar problem? How did you guys resolve it?

If your getting the ACD light I would take it to the dealer. Especially when your just letting it sit in the sun and its throwing that warning. The only time I've seen the ACD light is after pulling some donuts in my work parking lot in a foot of snow. I'm sure it only came on because of the weight from the snow. It Took all night plus till mid day for the snow to melt.

Yep sounds like your ACD pump. My did the same, the light came on one day and off the next day then came back on and stayed on til I got the pump replace, $2000 job under warranty, thank god. I only had 35K on it at that time.

Yes, I got the flash on Saturday. Didn't help. I dropped off the car at the dealer today.

Without the updated flash, the ACD pump was probably damaged over the winter, and is only now showing the effects of that damage.
