First road trip with the RA

We're taking the RA on our first road trip to South Texas. Leaving tonight around midnight from WI. Hopefully the car holds up to this crazy heat we got going on

If you have the recaros expect a sore back, they are not road trip seats.

Mattp, I used to live in Texas, it is hot as hell. But your RA will be fine. I bought my Ra in NC, drove it back to Texas, over the blueridge parkway, which I must say was the sickest drive ever and so fun in that car. Once back in Texas, I stayed for a couple months before moving to RI, which I drove from TX to RI. No issues, you will be fine.

Really? I have taken several road trips in my RA. One was 9 hours one way and I was telling my girlfriend how I loved the recaros because I felt perfectly comfortable.

Well maybe on stock suspension its ok, 10 hours on a drop wasn't all that fun.

Either way they are still missing a lot of padding compared to other cars.

I have back problems, thats why I didnt get the Recaros, they look cool as hell and those bolsters would hold you in tight when hitting turns, but I love my regular seats. They arent the MOST comfortable seats ever, but a lot more comfortable than the recaros in my opinion

Should be fine... I just finished a 1600 mile road trip around the north east in mine. Including 20+ miles on a gravel road.

The last leg coming back from Maine to NYC was like, 9 hours.

But since you're in south Texas, and I am assuming close to the gulf, don't you get free oil from the beaches?

I also think the Recaros are super comfortable on long trips.

^^ I too am a fan of the Recaros for long trips. I find I get a bit of a sore back in anything other than the Recaros when on road trips!

Same here. I fell in love with them the first time I sat in.

I made it here with no issues, just a small chip in the windshield from a rock, nothing major. We just took it to Dtronixs down here to get tinted and on the way another rock hit me and another chip, we got that one filled at the tint place. RA looks sick with tinted windows I must say.

I kind of agree that south Texas does suck, It's hot as hell and not alot to do where my in laws are located. (pretty much mexico)
