Car Doesn't Really Shut Off?

So this has happened 2 times to me in about a 3 week period. I have the air on in the car because it is freaking hot and when I turn off the car it sounds like the radiator/ac is still going. I turn the car on and off again and it still does it. Finally when I set the airflow to off from the vents it shuts off. WTF is going on? This always happens randomly.

Umm, Turbo timer!?, car controls its temp so that when it shuts off the turbo is not hot. Kind of a feature almost all turbo cars should have as to not harm it since its a big part of your car. And it does sound like the fans are running.

It's not a turbo timer. A turbo timer keeps the engine running in order to circulate coolant and oil through the turbo. What this is, is the fans running for up to 3 minutes after the car shuts off, but yes, to cool the engine bay.
