If you look in the How to section there are instruction about how to build your own short ram intake using a K&N air filter and an Evo X MAF housing. This will cost you less than 100$ and allow you to hear the turbo sucking the air and the BPV.
But from I've read, you'll get more gain from a drop-in filter.
And you should not worry about leaning out you AFR with this setup. I did it on my car, and in WOT my AFR is well below 11 (even when using GST Basemap which leans the mixture a little bit).
I think all the other aftermarket intake kits replace you MAF housing by something larger or include a bypass that falsify the MAF readings, so those would definitely require a tune if you want to ensure you engine will last.
