coating for hatch area of sportback

so i use my hatch alot for transporting groceries, random military kit, my dog and generally anything i don't want in my cabin area

so i'm wondering if anyone knows if something like bed liner would adhere properly to the trunk liner portions of the hatch area... also the trunk liner side panels would needa be done

cause well i'm just tired of vacuuming it and it would be kinda neat

You can have a custum made fiberglass panel in your trunk and spray that with Bed liner or just paint it.

You can even make it yourself... if you know how.

There are custom rubber mat companies that will typically make any size mat you want. I just (work related) purchased a custom 1/4" high x 6'6" dia. round ribbed rubber mat. Due to the diameter, and the 1/4" height (custom), all the material had to be specially ordered by the supplier, and then cut to size spec.'s we needed. This was the first time we used this particular vendor, so we had no special discount...that mat cost us $450.00. I would think if you used a standard product from them, it could be as much as 1/2 of that for a one of a kind look.

Then again, on mitsu website, there is one listed as a $60 add-on accessory for the sportback, so you may just want to call the dealer

Couldn't find a picture of it though, but from mitsu site..

MSRP: $60
A durable carpet cargo mat for your Lancer Sportback that covers the area behind the rear seats.
