yes, but it mostly depends on throttle position. I hear it most around 1/3 to 1/2 throttle around 3kRPM. Hearing that sound + the BPV kicking in is probably the main reason I haven't cracked 300miles on a tank of gas yet. It lets me hear the turbo stuff working just enough to make me smile.

I didn't get it for any claimed power increases or claimed fuel economy. I got it because it's reusable and will pay for itself the first time I would normally have to change the stock filter, and it's warranty will out last the engine.

For the guys that are using k&n, are you guys oiling the filters? Or just clean, dry, then drop it back in?

I heard you're not supposed to use oil on our air filters...

K&n for sure good amount of difference between sound amount of air getting through and improved gas mileage(only slightly)

@skym- i have always just cleaned dryed and dropped back in, never oiled but my instructions didnt say to so thats why
