Getting 2011 Ralliart, what to.....
I just got mine about 3 weeks ago. It is a great car for the money. The gearbox is fantastic. It may not be an F1 box from a $200,000 Farrari, but it honestly is almost as good for a crap load less money. lol. (Its mad by German guys). I wont go into the performance stuff except to say there are a few guys on this forum that really know there stuff. Unfortunately there are also some people that will swear by, and give you really bad advise. Just use your own common sense.
I will tell you that the tires have to go. If you plane on driving in the snow at all, they are actually dangerous. I have been through 3 snow storms with them and have to tip toe everywhere I go. I just haven't had the time to go get something better yet.
The gas mileage is not good to say the least. I have been told that once the car has been broken in it will get much better. A lot of people on here said that it takes about 1,000 mile before you start to see any good mileage. I am keeping my fingures crossed. I have had about 13 miles per gallon average as my best.

The MPG will go up by a lot.
How is the exhaust sound on these cars? Mild noise?
-It is better on the tranny to manually shift the car?? Sport mode activated is even better? Makes sense, but is it really true?
-Traction control can be turned on and off? Completely different from ASC... So you have 3 different modes that can be altered? 1 - normal/sport 2 - ASC (snow, tarmac, gravel) 3 - Traction Control (on/off) All right??

I read somewhere on this forum about the clutches grab harder in sport mode, so maybe the clutches will burn out faster if you keep it in sport mode?
You can change the settings on the ACD (active center differential) for tarmac, gravel, and snow and you can turn the ASC off.
After the break-in period, play around with the settings and see what feels best for you. I usually keep it in normal/auto and change the ACD settings depending on the conditions.
normal/auto will by far give you teh most clutch wear and the most dangerous to the engine since you will be driving 35mph in 6th gear and when you want to speed up most people will just floor it causing boost spike and the trans to slip. best way to drive this car is like it is a normal stick vehicle. if you are at low rpms downshift to gain more speed before just flooring it
I just watched the video.... haha, I know what you guys mean. It was still a good watch. Thanks for throwing it my way Silverwar.
Stig013, congrats on the new ride, and I sure hope my gas mileage is better than that too! If not, ouch!
Alien Visitor, as long as it sounds good on the outside is fine with me. I upgraded to 710watt stereo system, so I wouldn't really expect to hear much past those speakers.
