You may want to spend the extra money and get something that doesn't blind everyone on the road. Just my 2 cents.

I actually bought 4 kits, one I gave to my good friend for xmas and the other 3 were installed in my EVO's
when they first light up you get a couple seconds of flicker, after that they stay on just like the regular hid. very cheap setup

 

So on the website the "1 x" is 1 kit? As in both sides?

 

1 kit includes 2 hid bulbs, 2 ballasts with all connections.

Xenon Depot, I have 2 years + on my kit and no issues. To go even further than that, a good chunk of my car club has them with very little issues or trouble.

Also, I ordered 2 kits, one for high and one for low. So will I have 2 ballast boxes per side?
And do the OEM non-hid lights not have a ballast?

 

got ddms.... yea yo u need a relay (unless you have the sss package i guess). i got a relay and when looking at it its actually wicked easy to make your own relay. i bought one of here with the ddm kit from a guy... forget his name, but he made it and looking at it, couple parts, a relay with 4 pins, couplers and 12ga wire and youre good!!

I used theretrofitsource.com when I had to buy HIDs. However, the factory HID's are best bang for buck period because of manufacturer warranty. That's just my .02. I've heard good things about DDM and they're only like a 10 min drive from my house but I've also heard bad things. The heavily mixed review turned me away. That and you want a bulb with very low UV output so they don't cause your plastic lens to fog and look crappy on the inside.

 

Sportiva aka Tempest Direct. I've had xentecs & ddms and their kits are pure garbage. The sportivas are top notch quality with a really low UV bulb. Also some kickass AC ballasts and my brights made a sign reflect 2.2 miles away in my 02 sonata.

I have Kensun HID Xenon Conversion Kit . This kit comes with everything you need to add Xenon light technology to your vehicle’s headlight system. Kensun has done a good job with the design here. Both the ballasts and bulbs that come with it are super high quality. These will really light up the road for you very brightly after dark.The price on this kit is really reasonable for how good of an HID conversion kit this is. I also liked the broad spectrum of lighting color choices that come with it.

 

Aren't these kits kind of illegal? If you don't have projector headlights, you just end up blinding oncoming traffic? I'd rather just buy projector assembly headlights or just get my headlights retrofitted with projectors. I don't want to be that guy who blinds other drivers, just like people who drive with their brights on.

 

Low beam has very strict rules for HID, and with good reason.

They can be classed as a "replacement bulb", as opposed to a complete led headlight, plus they are ow glare, a white light, and brighter than halogen.

 

You may want to get a set of projector lenses as well if you dont want to blind everyone. I got mine from Depo racing years ago. I've been through ddm kits and amazon kits. They all work about the same. DDM was more expensive but right now im using Innovative kit for the lights and they work just the same.
