I think this rivalry only exists in your head, man. And maybe in the heads of straight line racers that don't know the purpose of the Corvette. It's been Mustang vs. Camaro since the late sixties; pony car wars!

Mustangs are beneath Corvette owner's regards and aren't as track versatile as Vettes at all.

 

Well, if you guys all think there is no rivalry, go ahead and post something at www.corvetteforum.com and see what you get. Like I said a page back, it isn't a performance rivalry. Us vette owners already know we are far ahead of them there. It is just a strong disliking of each other. I have been a Corvette owner for 4 years, and a active member in the community. I'm just stating facts..... Anyways, the topic wasn't supposed to pick apart that, it was to determine the mitsu vs sub thing. Have a beer from the new guy.

 

I think its more of a ford vs chevy thing more than vette vs mustang. Everyone knows its stang vs camaro. Vettes are like 3 times the price and not in the same league. But of course there is some rivalry.. cause one is a ford and the other is a chevy.

 

It sounds like the Corvetteforum moderators need to flush the toilet on their Mustang trolls!

 

vette vs stang is like GTR vs Evo... both do the same job except one does it a little better for quite a bit more coin.

i'll take stang and evo over vette and GTR.

I think there is a fair rivalry between the Evo and the WRX, but only because its already been established in other parts of the world so it is here by default. I don't think it is taken nearly as serious as Ford vs Chevy, Mustang vs Camaro, etc.

 

I find this funny, seeing as my brother and I have a RA vs Vette rivalry. Good for me he doesn't mod his cars, so I may have a chance someday.

i thought the same thing til i talked to a guy at a gas station that pulled up next to me with one. turns out he had the sucker twin turboed but the exterior and everything was completely stock except the rims/tires&enlarged exhaust. no stupid body kits or huge spoiler. ran into him a couple days later at teh same station he was in a supra i just playfully told him screw you and i wish i had his money

 

It has always been civics vs EVERYONE where I live LOL I dont see stangs or vettes to much but a sheit load of BMW M3s, Silvia s13 s14, R32 GTRs and of course Civics LOL

 

And all the SRT4s that I saw in the past mysteriously disappeared! Guess the engines gave out or something LOL

SRT4's and Cobalt ss's are the worst cars ever built, in my book.
