No matter how good it sounds I can't stand the Drone in exhausts either. It makes passengers and trips miserable. For driving around town and having some fun its not that bad.

I still think I'm going with the magnaflow. DC is very tempting though.

It is scientifically proven that the sound of certain vehicles exhaust acts as afrodisiac for females...Im pretty sure the Ralliart/ EVO X with the UR TBE was one of them!!

APHRODISIAC for women is how you drive not how your exhaust sound...If your willing to pay fine when cops pull you over why not get the loudest exhaust out there... Its all about preference and where you live... I'm sure you guys love the UR exhaust but we Californians can be just on a sleeper mode to avoid tickets...

Before I can take your "scientific" claims seriously, you have to learn to spell....

if i get a new exhaust i dont want it to sound like really loud. is there a good exhaust which gives nice power but doesn't have all that 'NNNNRRREEEWWWWGGGHHHHH" sound. i dont need that.

I know someone with a RA. They have the mini muffler/resonator combo on the mid-pipe and high flow cat (not test pipe). It's not that loud. I don't see it being that much louder than the DC one. I checked the DC one on Youtube and it seems to be equally loud.

Also, not for anything...but I'd rather take a made in North America (Canada) exhaust than some made in China DC Sports exhaust.

That's just my personal preference. Everyone is entitled to choose what they want based on budget, volume, preferences, etc...

I was only joking about "Switch to Ulitmate Racing"

It just sounded like such a hassle but it is really nice to hear that DC is taking care of the problem. That's really the most important thing. As long as you are satisfied, it's all that matters.

Have you looked at the Borla? It looks pretty decent as well...

But price is also a factor...Borla and UR, especially UR with the resonated/mini muffler can run you almost $1400-$1500 for a proper turbo back. Borla is about $900 I think...

The DC is obviously the most economical choice but there's that chance you may have problems.

AFRO/DISIAC....(get it, im black) anyways...the study was done on the sound of your exhaust system, not how they drove. But i understand the reason for a sleeper exhaust in Cali. My unkle snoop told me he got a ticket the other day for smoke comming out his windows..dumb cops thought it was his exhaust

Too true. A drone-y exhaust is a pain on long trips, and even though it sounds awesome at WOT, you're not at WOT all the time.

The problem with rating exhausts is that it's all subjective -- the shape of your head, shoulders and inner ear determine how you perceive the sound (this was a quote from an R&T article about how Jag has a complex sound stage and varied dummies with audio pickups to determine how things like the induction and exhaust note sound across different people so they tune to reach a pleasant note for all of them).

Some people think CP-E sounds like garbage, and UR, worse than garbage, but in other people's ears, they sound like pure sex.

I think an open-headered V8 sounds like crap but there's those that like the sound of them, and both of us are right

IMO cp-e has the sexiest sound by far, it's pure orgasmic. BUUTTTT, its too loud; if they could somehow package that sound in a lower decibel, yahtzee!
And that is kinda what DC has been doing. Doesn't have quite the same growl, but pretty dang close considering they aren't using the entire decibel range.
