Best way to control boost?

Hey guys was just wondering I'm planning on doing a custom dyno tune and looking for my peak boost to be at 25lbs. What's the best way to handle that boost? A boost pill upgrade or the 3 port boost controller?

Personally I'm looking at a 3 port to control my boist, but who knows if that's the best route consider how untamable boist can be sometimes.

You should probly ask your tuner that question since not all tuners like all forms of boost control.

I'm running a 3port and hitting 21.5psi at about 65% duty cycle.... I just have to ask though why you are so set on running 25psi?

^ya, 25 psi on the stock snail is way excessive, not very safe for the long term. You would need to really speed up that tiny compressor wheel to hit 25psi, way risky imho

Stock turbo will do 25 psi. Albeit doesn't mean it's the safest in the long run if live @ the track.

I have GST pill and V2.5 tune. My boost will hit 25 psi and taper to around 23 or 24. Its a pretty reliable way to make power. I have never had a boost controller so my opinion is biased.

The stock turbo will do 25psi and beyond, at low rpm and low flow requirements. It definitely won't hold that pressure for long, though.

Well my tuner said he didnt even need a boost pill or anything and that they make peak boost 23lbs, but i thought 25psi peak boost couldnt hurt it that much. I drive my car about 3 times a week and not even hard so thats why i wasn't worried about so much boost. Everyone is always complaining how with out the boost pill the car boost isnt smooth and jerky sometimes. I just really want to know if a boost pill will aloow it to make better numbers.

3 Port for sure and let the ECU do the control so there is no issues... 25psi is a little excessive on the stock Ralliart turbo. I am running 26psi on the Evo turbo after the swap.

After my tune last week and he said he maxed out my boost and now the computer thinks I'm running 26lbs max. I was running logs with AP, and this was after I changed out the stock boost pill for the AMS.

The stock turbo will do 25+ on the low end no problem.

When I still had the stock turbo I ran it up to 27psi in testing with more room to spare.

It will give you a torque hit, that's about it. Up top you don't want to run more then 12-13psi (and it won't do much more then that) or you will create way too much heat. With the stock FMIC you need to be very careful with spinning the turbo too much up top as the stock FMIC is totally useless with anything much more then stock boost and the added heat without the ability to shed it will cause detonation.
