24,000km Serivce Question

I just reached 24,000 for m 2009 ralliart and will be doing the interval service soon.

I would like to confirm the pricing for this. For an oil change, brake inspection ect, tire rotation (the tire rotation i dont need) is $189.00.

Rear differential fluid change is recommened by the dealer @ 24,000km is $200.00

$189.00 + $200.00 = $439.57 with HST(tax)

Is this accurate and has everyone changed there rear diff fluids at 24,000 km,s?

Any input is appreciated !

Just FYI, if you can change the motor oil, you can change the rear diff oil.

I can understand if you don't want to but it's a piece of cake and will save you a very good amount of cash.

+1
I changed my motor oil for the first time a few months back and now im kicking myself for not doing it sooner. So much money wasted on such a simple job.

It is a piece of cake to do it yourself. All you need is a 24mm wrench (a socket won't fit between the diff and the crossmember) and a 10mm allen wrench. It is actually easier than changing the engine oil since there is more room under the back of the car, and you don't have to remove any pesky covers. The transfer oil is just as easy to do yourself as well

Just make sure the car is level, so you put in the proper amount of fluid.

im reaching the same service interval in a month or 2, I was wondering what aftermarket replacement can I use instead of the DiaQueen?
The manual stated Transfer Oil (for LSD) and thats it?

Check the EvoX section. i believe there is a maintenance sticky that has excerpts from the service manual.

You can use any synthetic 75w-90 LSD gear oil in the rear diff and transfer case.
