Hey all

The sad news first:
I need to sell my precious Sportback to make room for our first born expected in september.
I got mixed feelings about it because I'm really happy that we are expecting a child but on the same time it feels tough selling the car after all the time and money spent on it.
It really is the best car I've owned but the insurance / tax / fuel costs are just too high now when we need to put priority elsewhere.

I'm not dying though cause I will atleast be comfortable in the 2011 Qashqai diesel we are buying which will cut all car related costs in half.
We'll see after 2-3 years how the economy fairs, maybe I will haunt the new owner of my car and buy it back

Unfortunately I had already ordered side-view mirrorcovers from Singapore before we decided to sell, but thinking these things will be hard to sell in Sweden I decided to install them anyway.

I only have one pic in the daylight but I will take some more when it gets darker.

And yea, sorry about the dirt. It's the tree close to the parkingspace which at the moment totally destroys any chance of a clean car. I just don't care anymore...

I'll check in from time to time though and I want to thank everyone making this forum as great as it is. I've learned so much in the year I've been a active member and will recommend it to anyone owning a lancer/evo/ralliart.

I'm confused...are you planning on putting the baby in the garage?

All kidding aside, congratulations on the new addition to your family. Funny thing is my wife has been having contractions all morning and it looks like I'll be adding to my family later today. I hope the kid likes power slides and J-turns.

R those the 'power folding when alarm is activated/deactivated' mirrors? If so, pretty dang hot there!
Sorry to hear you're leaving, but good luck in life!

Congratulations on the baby! My fiance and I are having our first child late October or early November. With similar reasoning, I, too, will be selling my RA for something a little easier on the pocket so that money can be spent on what matters most.

congrats!

i sold my first sportscar for our first kid. after the addition of the second kid, the RWD luxury feeling CTS i had kinda stopped feeling safe. i wanted AWD, sportiness, and lots of trunk space. i ended up with the RASB and dont regret it.

not only that. you can keep it, and upgrade it from time to time. when your kid becomes of age and has gone into the forest and returned with the head of a lion, then he will be a man who will be able to be giveth the all wheel driveth of lord mitsubishi

Hehe
The major reason for selling is the costs (As i've only had my license for 2½ years I pay double the insurance as someone who had a license for 10+ years for example). Offcourse you can make it work practically if you really want to.
I sold it today and got a fair price for it so overall, I'm happy.

Going to be without a car for a month until the new one arrives so my new car is a bike and the buss atm. Ooh the shame

The guy who purchased it asked for the tactrix cable so maybe he will pop in to this forum
