I have wanted to ask this question for a while. I haven't because it seems silly. But after tonight i think its time.

Over the course of 8000 kilometers I have noticed the exhaust (CB) gets louder over time. I got it re-tightened with lock washers or whatever they are called and it seemed to quite down.

Has anyone noticed these symptoms as well? or iam i just crazy...lol

Dont get me wrong i know UR is probably the loudest exhaust out there, but from time to time it seems louder than ever!

I have a resonator and think i might buy a mid-pipe with resonator and mini muffler soon!

 

after having the initial install, it's normal to have to re-tighten after a couple of months... most install instructions will tell you to check the nuts and bolts and re-tighten as necessary.

I believe this could be because the exhaust pipes get hot and cool off as you drive the car and park it, and over time, the ~initial~ installation needs to be checked to ensure the bolts are staying tight.

I'd only really worry if this happens more than twice.

 

Thats exactly what needs to happen. My exhaust got louder over time, esp. towards the front of the car. Got underneath the car and tightened the bolts up my self and all is good. Also heard some funky *** rattling sounds before tightening, but all is gone now!!
