Dealer conference call confirmed that the Sportback RA will not be made anymore. If you want one you better buy it this year!!!

I really wish there was some more definitive info on what the hell Mitsu is going to do with there line. I know they say more green, or all green, but a lot of car companies say that and never produce. Its killing me not to know whats going to be waiting for me when my lease is up.
If there isn't already there should be a sticky thread that contains all official info released from Mitsu. I don't mean conjecture from all of us, but actual info from Mitsu executives or Company officials. It will be a shame to sea these cars just fad away.

Agreed. If anyone on this forum has access to official information, we would all appreciate if it could be passed along.
I love my RA, and plan to purchase another one when the time comes, but I don't see myself buying one in 2013 to keep as a spare.

I don't see Mitsubishi making any kind of official comment about the future of the Evo until 2012. Two model years is a lifetime in this industry, and so much can and will change.
My guess is you can kiss the Evo goodbye. Mitsubishi has pretty much dumped all of its racing support and invested heavily in electric and hybrid powertrains. For a company with limited resources and yearly sales in the low six figures, there isn't enough engineering to do both fuel-efficient cars and full out track monsters.

End of Evo
This has been reported all over for a few months now. So far, they have only made reference to the EVO, but not even offering the SB RA in 2012 is not a good sign. The demise of the Ralliart dept last year doesn't help things either, but I do believe there will be some kind of EVO badged Mitsu in the future....just some sort of hybrid, but of course, that is complete speculation.
On a brighter note, American muscle cars out sold hybrids this past May Link Here...which is odd considering the ever rising fuel costs combined with all I here about the super high demand for hybrids. I see this as a good sign that even if the major auto manufacturers start pushing more & more hybrids, they will still realize there is a demand for performance automobiles that will need to be filled....Maybe mitsu will realize this as well
