Upper and lower I/C pipe

Found these pipes on ebay and wondered if they would work. I sounds way to cheap but I think to myself. It's just pipes right??? Wondering if anyone has this kit or have feels about the kit. Thanks!

I have a X but, think this is a "you get what you pay for" kind of deal.

fitment could be a problem and no telling what else?

So many better options available.

Goodluck! -B

Pipes are pipes, but what you have to watch out for is if the measurements are right and if the metal used it worth a damn. With a low grade aluminum you have to worry about them crushing. I say get em, and try em out. If they suck do a charge back through paypal with the item "not as described". PayPal almost always sides with sellers. And if they turn out to be good, then everyone will follow in your footsteps and get em.

"These pipes do not fit the SST equipped cars such as the MR, because of the tranny cooler behind the bumper cover on the driver's side."

This was written right on the page so obviously its not going to fit the Ralliart!

Looks like a waste of money. Besides not fitting, they look terrible. It might be me, but the finish of the pipes from the cars vs laid out on display are off. Plus the couplers are different colours. Why wouldn't the couplers be consistent if you are not offering different colour combos.

The problem with these (besides not fitting our model) is they are really thin metal. Anything more than stock boost will most likely result in being crushed.

What's this crushing business? Boost being positive pressure and all, I'm a bit confused...

OK sorry I did phrase that wrong (now that I look at what I typed last night). Here is an issue I've ran into in the past:
Got an ebay I/C pipe kit, and turned up the boost. The pipes start flexing from the increased pressure (especially right at the couplers), and they kept getting blown off. So I go to tighten them down and the pipe literally crushes from the clamp.
That's what I was trying to refer to, but typing when falling asleep (god bless you melatonin) doesn't work to well
So the issue is basically, you can only get these pipes as a "dress-up" item. However the whole idea behind an upgraded I/C pipe is to be able to run higher boost. With these cheaper pipes they typically can only hold stock levels of boost before getting blow-offs; and when you try to "reinforce" them they crush from the couplers.

Eeeew, nasty! Thanks for the clarification.

While my Evo X pipes are probably all bulgy at 21psi, their seals and couplings are rock-solid... better count my blessings.

You've spent so much money on buying the car already, why go and get cheap parts put onto an expensive car? Take care of your car and go with something that is reliable and less likely to harm your vehicle.

Those aren't even T-clamps the are supplied with the pipes. under that kind of pressure worm-clamps are worthless. Another reason for quailty parts over E-bay parts..

Why do I do this? You are so right. Do it right the first time. I'll be much happier this way. LOL Thank you
