headlights - non hid

Headlight, low Beam ------51W 9006 HB4

I have an HID kit in my car, but I wanna take it out cause it's crap (HID Depot). Sometimes one side will turn on when I first turn the lights on, sometimes none will turn on, and sometimes the will work fine. Most times it takes me turning it on then off about three times to get them both to come on.

I'd rather go with maybe silverstars or something like that.

Anyone have any recommendations? Or anyone have any installed in their car and any feedback?

Silverstars are just over driven. Not that much brighter.
Try HIR's. They're HID bright.

Agree sliver stars are no good and they burn out faster than stock blubs.

I just mentioned silverstars cause I didn't know of any other brand.
Will looking into the HIR's.... Are there any stores that sell them? Autozone/Orielly's/Advance Auto Parts? I guess they only come in two types, high and low beam?
What about PIAA lights?
any other recommendations?

I have them and agree. Good, bright light output and they last!

Your HID's may not be the root of your issues. The Daytime Running Light signal is active when your car is ON, Low Beams are OFF, and your eBrake is DOWN. Thus, causing your HID Ballasts to short out; Hence, why it takes several times to turn them ON.

Luckily they activate after a couple tries. In some cases, which I've personally experienced, once the DRL's were active, my HID's wouldn't turn ON at all. However, bypassing the DRL's fixed that issue. Just thought I'd share.

So what are you saying? That your DRL Bypass should fix my problems?
I have your DRL Bypass already installed.

Maybe the Ballasts are going bad?

I have the jrox bypass in my car, I installed it when I put in the HID kit (prob 9 months ago). Doesn't seem to fix my problem.

That's what I was thinking.... I'm gonna switch out the ballast with some that I have for my high beams this weekend (that are just sitting in my closet right now).
