Selling Challenges
Those that follow the board have probably seen my car a few times at various stages of the modding project, and perhaps noticed it listed for sale in the classified section. Actually I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out, I think I established realistic goals, and in the end it made very good power with virtually no turbo lag, and has very improved stopping over stock.
Selling it with these mods has turned out to be another matter, and I have taken it off the market in favor of castrating it, and trading it.
There are a number of posts in which the general concensus seems to indicate it is much better to remove mods when trying to sell your car, and I can tell you that in spite of the fact that my car is so new and in such great shape, I could not give it away with my mods! So next week the turbo, Cobb Pro Tune, and exhaust will be coming off, and I'll trade it.
Although I'm sure driving it to the dealer with its nuts removed will seem quite different, at least I can reflash it to the Cobb Stage 1 tune for that last drive.
PLEASE, TAKE A MOMENT AND READ MY CLASSIFIED "FEELER" POST PRIOR TO SENDING ME A PM ABOUT PARTS.
THANK YOU, AND PLEASE BE PATIENT AND TRY TO UNDERSTAND THIS IS A FEELER, THE PARTS ARE STILL ON MY CAR, AND WILL BE UNTIL NEXT WEEK...
I have already received 6 " How much shipped to..." questions this morning. Since I have stated the parts are still on the car (and will be until next week), before asking that question, ask yourself "How I could I actually answer it with these parts still installed?"Once the parts are removed if they are all not already spoken for, I will weigh them, and those who are interested can calculate shipping costs.
Thanks and no hard feeling to those who did not read my classified post before asking the "How much shipped questions" Clearly this was my mistake, I actually expected people would read the classified post before sending me a PM.
