New Ralliart.... Question about sounds..

I have seen a few threads about the various ticking sounds the engine and transmission make, but I can't find anything on the sounds of the turbo.

I just picked up my ralliart and I am wondering how loud the turbo should be. I don't remember being able to really hear the turbo on the test drives I took or on the first day I had the car, but today (second day) I can hear the turbo spool up when I accelerate. With the radio off, I can hear the turbo with the widows closed. The sound is clearly audible, I don't have to strain to hear it at all. Is this normal. Am I just freaking out over nothing? I just don't remember hearing it like that before.

Thanks for the help!

It's what tells people "back the f-up son, don't want none of this"
But seriously, for the like the first 3 months I didn't even listen to the radio (so much for my Sirius trial) I was so enthralled with listening to this bad bish spoolin' while cruzing around town! Congrats

Thanks guys! I guess I'm just paranoid... I love the car. It's going to be really hard to not get any speeding tickets . I can't wait until the car is broken in and I can really open her up!

NP, I feel yeah. If my tires hit a bad patch of road I instantly think something is wrong, haha! Then I realize, oh wait its not the car, its all good; can't help but be a little paranoid, totally normal to worry about your baby

And I thought for a second your thread was going to be about the clank clank thunk clank of the tranny. Or the clicking you hear when the engine is running sounds like a metalic slap. Or maybe the wine of the tranny when you are slowing down or letting it hang in a low gear while your whip around.

Well just in case you ask about this stuff too, it's all normal.

The part I worry about is I'm not going to be able to tell what isn't normal when something happens.

Do I have you more worried now?

I'm still in break-in, haven't heard any noises yet...but I am enjoying my free Howard Stern every day and laugh alot in the car. Maybe that's why.

I actually like the noises my car makes now that I'm used to them. Except one, mine creaks a bit from the passenger rear suspension. Checked the suspension, both by myself and by my mechanic, everything looks fine and is tight like it should be, no weird wear or anything.

Mine does as well, rear passenger side. And you have springs not coilovers right?

Yup, everytime I go down my driveway. Rear Passenger Side makes a creak noise.

I'm on Eibach springs, the pro-kit. The sound was there long before the springs, however.

The creak noise could be the poor frame weld issue that seems to plague our cars.
